Samson is a crime action game imbued with the aesthetics of nineties cinema, where survival is presented without compromise. The action takes place on the streets of the fictional Tyndallston. Tindalston is not a metropolis, but a district where everyone knows each other and remembers old grievances. Residential areas are adjacent to industrial zones, and the transition between them is felt sharply. Districts of the city react to the hero’s decisions: the balance of power, available tasks and the attitude of locals change. Therefore, the path to the goal depends both on your fighting skills and on who you managed to come to an agreement with. The hero finds himself in history after a failed deal, and now he has to fight back. Weapons and money are obtained locally, so the first missions are almost hopeless. Fights combine close combat and improvised means, and the city's back streets serve as an arena. Some tasks are structured as chases and ambushes, where it is important to retreat in time. Fights can be resolved in different ways: a street fight, talking or running away. The police don't always intervene, but gangs remember failures. The project relies on atmosphere: dirty courtyards, old cars and conversations in the spirit of action films from tapes. The additions and updates promise to expand the area and add history. The project is being released in early access, so some of the mechanics are still being finalized. The mod community adds cars and weapons in the spirit of the nineties. Some tasks can be solved in different ways, and this affects the area. For anyone who likes dark crime stories, this city is perfect. The plot is presented in short scenes with dialogues against the backdrop of old TVs.
