Description

Saints Row 4 is a third-person action movie set in retrofuturistic Steelport, familiar from the previous part. The hero from 3rd Street Saints becomes president of the United States, but power must be defended from aliens. The attack occurs almost immediately, and the city turns into a set for someone else's game. The hero emerges from the captured world, gaining abilities that were not there before. With their help you can run along walls and jump across blocks. The tasks are divided into plot and additional ones, and some of them are done for the sake of spectacle. The weapons are intentionally awkward, and it adds to the mood. You can play with a friend, going through both the campaign and side activities together. The city is filled with strange buildings and references to foreign cultures. Side quests test your new abilities. Between missions, you can simply wander the streets and find hiding places. The music and style emphasize the deliberate non-seriousness. The city responds to the alien disturbances and turns into a testing ground for experiments. The plot leads through absurd staged scenes. Abilities can be improved by investing found points. Some tasks open only after completing the main line. Additional objectives are marked on the city map. Abilities are revealed gradually, and this changes the usual rhythm. Weather and time of day have almost no effect on tasks. Points are found in boxes and for completing challenges. The city reacts to the unrest with noise and chaos on the streets. Anyone who appreciates absurdity and superpowers will enjoy the game.
