Skateboarding Urban Tales is a skateboarding simulator in which the main action takes place on specially equipped areas. The player skates from a third-person perspective, performing tricks on the ground and in the air, and the locations cover different parts of the city: the area near the factory, the park, the stadium and other spots. Such diversity allows you to look for your own lines and connections. In addition to exercises and free skating, there is a training mode where new tricks are learned, as well as competitions and tasks. Progress is based on completing goals: the more accurate and complex the tricks, the more opportunities open up. Landing mistakes are costly here, so acceleration and positioning matter. The controls are designed for gradual development: first simple techniques, then connections and combinations. This is not an arcade game where all hits are obtained on the first click, but the sensations from a successful trick are more significant. It’s also worth noting that in the game you can search for your own lines and shoot them, assessing the quality of execution. In addition to single skating, there are competitive tasks and time trials, which adds meaning to repeating already familiar spots. For a modest-scale project this is enough. The game was made by a small team and does not pretend to be on the scale of large series, but it occupies its niche: short sessions, a calm pace and a clear goal - to skate better than yesterday. For those who love skateboarding, this is enough.
