Description

theHunter: Call of the Wild is an open world for the hunter, where game lives according to its own laws. This is not an arcade game about climbing trees, but a full-fledged terrain with wind, weather and smells that you have to take into account. The lands vary in climate and landscape: there are forests, fields, mountains and swampy lowlands with their own game. The weather changes according to the schedule of the area, and the time of day affects the activity of animals. Animals behave as individual beings: each animal has its own route, routine and reaction to danger. A wounded deer goes far into the thicket, and a predator seen from afar can instantly go on the attack. Tracks, droppings and sounds tell you where the animal has passed, so patience is rewarded before the shot. The wind has a direction, and it is better to approach the prey against it. The hunter has access to dozens of areas with his own species of animals, and the equipment is selected for the task. Sights, decoys, smells and even weapons for a specific type of game - all this affects the result. Weapons are divided by caliber and purpose, and the choice of ammunition affects the result of the hit. Binoculars and a rangefinder help estimate the distance to the shot. A separate part of the lesson is patience: tracking, waiting and an accurate shot from long distances. Quests from local rangers and rare trophies provide purpose, and the photo mode helps you appreciate the beauty of the forest. Progress opens up new areas, tasks and equipment, forcing you to reconsider your usual routes. You can also hunt with friends in the same area. For those who value silence, observation and fair game, such hunting replaces sport.
