MTB Downhill Simulator

The MTB Downhill Simulator is dedicated to downhill mountain biking, a sport where balance is more important than power. The tracks look like a real obstacle course: roots, rocks, cliffs, sharp turns and jumps, after which the landing is almost more important than the speed itself. You have to go down carefully, because falling costs time, and seconds are more valuable here than anywhere else. Each victory brings experience, and experience is invested in the bike: new suspension, reinforced chain, improved brakes and frame. Gradually, the car stops falling apart on uneven surfaces, and the track, which previously seemed unreal, is traversed faster. Progress is felt physically - where you previously slowed down, you can now go at full speed. The competitions are structured differently: there are timed races and descents with competitors, where you have to bypass each other in narrow areas. Control requires attention to balance: body leans, correct braking and line selection are more important than acceleration, and landing errors result in a painful fall. The bike in the game is analyzed in detail: changing the suspension changes the ride and handling, and the tires affect the grip on mud and stones. The weather and the condition of the track are also taken into account, so the same mountain has to be passed in different ways. The first races almost always end in falls, but then you understand how to read the descent in advance, and not react at the last moment. The game was made by a small team and does not shine with graphics, but it fulfills its task: it conveys the feeling of a downhill race and makes you respect the mountain. For cycling fans, this is a rare guest in the gaming library, and this is its main value.
