Jagged Alliance 2 Gold is a classic RPG adventure with step-by-step tactical party combat. The first version was released at the end of the last century, in 1999. The 2006 re-release added support for modern hardware and collected all the official content from the add-ons. After that, the universe had more than ten sequels, which indicates the interest of the players. Weapons and ammunition are purchased together with the mercenaries. The campaign takes place in the fictional state of Arulco, whose wealth is comparable to third world countries. After an armed coup, the rightful heir, Enrico Chivaldori, is forced to go into hiding: the new queen Deidrana has taken the throne. The player creates a mercenary, invited to serve Enrico and destroy the illegal government through military operations on enemy territory. The provinces of Arulco are occupied by the queen's forces. The game is a party game, so the protagonist cannot cope alone. As he progresses, he hires troops of fighters capable of resisting the queen's forces. Each character has a different set of characteristics: some are needed to use a specific weapon, others give more skill points when leveling up. Night forays give you an advantage until dawn. Relationships within the team matter. Conflicts reduce group morale, and with it damage and defense. In total, the team can accommodate up to eighteen mercenaries, but a group of six people is sent on a mission. Wounded soldiers have to be sent to the rear. This game is suitable for anyone who loves tactics and mercenary squads.
