Far Cry 3 - Blood Dragon is an action movie in the spirit of old videotapes, where a hero in a cyber suit lands on a tropical island and clears it of mutants and cyborgs. The pathos here is taken to the extreme and presented as part of a joke. The island is divided into zones, and enemy bases have to be taken by storm, sometimes with vehicles. The weapons are varied and ridiculous, from shotguns to beamers to miniguns. Side quests involve freeing hostages and hunting rare animals. Between tasks, scenes are shown in the spirit of eighties comics, and the hero’s comments rain in non-stop. Technologies are presented with irony, and some of the equipment works on its own. In addition to the plot, there are side tasks for time and for holding points, and for them they give money for new weapons. Opponents are divided by type: people, cyborgs, animals and dragons, and each has its own gun. Some bases can be taken from the air if you find suitable equipment. The improvements concern both damage and reload speed. Saves are made along the way, and the difficulty is adjusted. The island is small, so familiar places quickly become home. Trophy lovers have plenty to do here: some tasks open only after the area has been completely cleared. A summary of weapons is available in the menu, and it shows which ones have not yet been used. Some community modifications change the behavior of opponents and add new guns, but require a fresh version of the game. The difficulty can be reduced at any time if the fights are tiring. The soundtrack is also worth mentioning: the synthesizers and guitars sound exactly as they should. The passage is short, but dense in events, and improvements are bought for the money you find. Anyone who remembers action movies from VHS tapes will find this addition suitable.
