Description
Duke Nukem Forever is an action movie about a hero who takes up arms again after an alien invasion. The locations are large, and between fights there are breaks with jokes.
The arsenal is varied: from shotguns to ridiculous devices that shoot anything. Some levels require transport.
Opponents are divided by type, and bosses occupy separate areas. The puzzles are simple and boil down to finding switches.
Weapons are divided by type, and some of the barrels fire non-standard ammunition. Health is restored on its own, but ammunition runs out. The levels are connected by transitions, some of which require technology. Bosses are divided into stages, each with its own technique. Between tasks, short scenes with jokes are shown. Some of the weapons hit areas, and some - single shots. The levels are large and contain short secrets. Between tasks there are short scenes with jokes. The walkthrough is short for its scale. I’d like to separately note some little things: the game has a lot of bars, slot machines and signs that can be smashed. Some of the weapons are so ridiculous that you almost don’t want to use them. You can save at any time, and this saves you in trouble. Separately, I note that the game has plenty of references to films and old action films. Between the big scenes there are short tasks, and they dilute the pace. The game has a lot of secrets: some rooms open only after pressing the right switch. Some bosses require special weapons, and you learn this through experience. The passage is designed to take several evenings, and saving is available at any time.
The humor rests on the hero's rude remarks. Anyone who remembers old-school crude jokes will find this part appropriate.
