South Park: The Stick of Truth (игра)

South Park: The Stick of Truth brings familiar animation to an RPG format where the hero is the new kid on the block. He has a desire to make friends and take his place among the local children who play elves and warriors. The town is drawn in a familiar cartoon style, and almost every resident is recognized from the first seconds. Acquaintance begins with entering a name and choosing an appearance, and then everything depends on the behavior of the newcomer. Fourth graders wave wooden swords and cast magic, and wars between “races” take place right on the streets of the town. At the same time, adults behave much less intelligently than children, and this becomes the basis for satire. Children divide the streets into territories, and a conflict over a toy stick quickly turns into a real war. At the same time, adults are busy with their own problems, which look much more absurd than children’s ones. The battles are turn-based, but with local features: magic, ridicule and unexpected techniques are used, and the hero’s class is chosen at the beginning. Gear and items are found throughout South Park, including items that are not at all childish. Leveling up is related to equipment: armor, weapons and accessories drop from enemies and are found in chests. Some abilities look indecent, but they are the ones that give you an advantage in battle. The script was written by the authors of the series, so there are so many jokes, parodies and references here that you notice some of them only from the second playthrough. Locations are recognizable by episodes, and the characters behave exactly as in the cartoon. The game is suitable for anyone who loves this humor and wants to go through the town with their own feet.
