Buckshot Roulette is a horror game about shotgun Russian roulette where two people get in and one gets out. The action takes place in a gloomy underground club, where metal railings beat out the rhythm, and visitors play by someone else's rules. The table is set under dim light, and opposite sits an opponent whose face it is better not to look at. The tension grows with every move, and even the silence between shots is more pressing than a scream. The party is based on cartridges: there are blank and live charges, and the player sees only the quantity, but not the order. The decision is made under pressure, and a mistake costs not points, but life. The bets increase gradually, and the cartridges are distributed again, which is why the loss seems like an accident. But victory looks like a chance snatched from fate. The rounds follow the same pattern: a short distribution, an exchange of shots and new items in hand. Among them there are useful things like a magnifying glass, cigarettes or a saw, which change the situation for a couple of moves. After a few rounds, additional rules and items are revealed that change the usual tactics, and some of them turn the game into a test of calculation. The game is small in volume, but the atmosphere and sound work to their fullest: the silence before the shot is more frightening than any monster. Updates added modes with unlimited ammo and additional rules. The atmosphere is supported by sound and editing: the camera hardly distracts, and the club environment remains in the frame longer than we would like.
