Dead Island 2

Dead Island 2 takes the zombie apocalypse to sunny California, but instead of the usual Los Angeles, the action takes place in Hell-Ey, where the infection has long gone out of control. The city is quarantined, and the heroes - six survivors with different combat skills - are united by resistance to the virus and the desire to get out. Each character has his own fighting style, which is noticeable from the first fights. The main mechanic is the damage system: hits to the arms, legs and head have different effects, and any weapon can be improved to suit you by turning a baseball bat into something with an electric discharge. Walking through the streets and houses turns into a search for resources, and attacks from the dead force you to constantly move, because you won’t be able to pin down the enemy. In addition to the main storyline, there are side quests, meetings with survivors and exploration of closed areas where a lot of useful things are hidden. Co-op with friends turns it into a bloody party: the more players, the more chaotic and fun, and the levels are adjusted to the number of participants. It is also worth noting that the game has a system of skill cards: each hero develops along his own path, unlocking power-ups for weapons and abilities. The weather and time of day change the behavior of the dead, making the streets feel different. For co-op runs, this adds dozens of hours of variety. The game does not try to scare, but entertains: there is a lot of humor, bright colors and spectacular finishing moves. For those who love dynamic action games about survival in the company of friends, this is a suitable option.
