Balatro

Balatro is a poker roguelike where the usual rules are turned upside down. Instead of bluffing and making deals, the player builds a deck, and jokers become the main weapon against the scoring system. The race is divided into eight bets, each more difficult than the previous one, and between them there are shops and rare cards. Mistakes are punishable: an extra move often puts an end to the entire game. The game is divided into rounds with increasing levels: you need to score a certain number of points in a limited number of moves. Chips and multipliers stack with each other, and a successful combination can turn a weak combination into a real avalanche. Suits and ranks can be strengthened, turning weak cards into the basis of a winning strategy. Vouchers and mascots add another layer of planning. Jokers change the rules: some strengthen certain suits, others return cards to the deck, and others affect the score after discarding. They make up assemblies that work like clockwork, and unsuccessful combinations lead to failure in one round. Discount coupons and special cards change the conditions: sometimes it is more profitable to spend a turn on preparation. Pixel art and hypnotic music add charm to the game, and difficulty and challenge modes encourage replaying. Modifications and open secrets have long been discussed in the community. Limited modes and daily challenges force you to reconsider your usual builds. Rare decks and open jokers force you to try new combinations even after hundreds of races. Victory over the last bet is considered only the beginning, because higher difficulties begin later. For anyone who likes to count and find synergies, this deck will not let you down.
