Slay the Spire 2

Slay the Spire 2 is a card roguelike where the basics remain the same: fighters build deadly combinations from cards. The innovation concerns the composition: you can now climb the floors in a squad of up to four people. The structure of the climb remained familiar: floors, rest between battles and a choice of cards as a reward. Plot passages are revealed between visits, and the overall picture emerges from them. The joint format has given rise to a separate set of tactical situations: some of the skills are designed to support comrades, so it is advantageous to cover each other and share the spoils. The single climb has not gone away and remains a classic. Joint maneuvers include healing and covering for comrades, so roles in the squad are divided in advance. The selection offers five heroes with ulterior motives: veterans will recognize Armadillo, Silent One and Defect, and two new characters have been added to them. Class decks set the combat potential, and ancient relics and potions change the rules right during the race. Rare items and relics are found in chests and from merchants, and decisions are made on the fly. Each attempt forces you to adapt to the conditions, because rooms, finds and enemies are formed in a new way. Survival tools and rare items along with multiplayer skills make planning a whole lot of fun. Tests and difficulty modes encourage you to go through the tower again, with a different team. Modifications and levels from the community add new conditions. For those who spent dozens of hours in the first part, this road will seem familiar and yet different.
