Assassin's Creed Origins tells in detail how the brotherhood of assassins arose and why its members hid for centuries. The action takes place in Ancient Egypt, where the Ptolemies and Roman influence are in power. In addition to the main line, side quests of local residents are available, as well as hunting wild animals and battles in the arena. Bayek, a guard from Siwa, loses his son and sets out to take revenge, gradually coming to the idea that it is not about personal scores, but about the structure of the world. The path leads him through Alexandria, Memphis and the desert, where priests, traders and nomads have their own rules. Some of the tasks are related to local gods and rituals, and the hero’s decisions affect the appearance of the settlements. The combat system has been redesigned: strikes, blocks, dodges and ranged combat are based on stamina and luck, and weapons are divided by rarity. Stealth remains, but direct confrontation is no longer a death sentence. The sea and desert complement the walking routes, and you can travel along the Nile by boat. Along the way, there are mythical creatures and visions that for the hero look no less alive than people. The world is huge and lives on a schedule: caravans, artisans and local residents make a walk meaningful. Additions added an afterlife and a separate story, and updates added an excursion mode. The development of the hero is connected with Egyptian mythology, and some of the events are presented as a dream or vision. Additions and updates added regions and challenges, and a photo mode made it possible to capture pyramids and oases. For anyone who loves history and big open spaces, this is Egypt.
