The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+

The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+ is a roguelike about a boy who goes down to the basement to escape his mother. Rooms are generated anew, and opponents become stronger with each floor. Items change according to their effects, and some of them change the hero beyond recognition. Tears serve as the main weapon, but there are other methods. Death is final, but new heroes and discoveries are revealed. There are many endings, and some are hidden behind rare coincidences. Found relics sometimes work together, and then the hero hits the entire room. Some floors end with a boss, and some end with a dead end. In addition to the basements, there are additional levels with other heroes. Items sometimes work together and change the appearance of the hero. The passage is short, but repetitive. Death is final. I would also like to note the variability: objects sometimes form unexpected assemblies, and this changes the entire run. Some floors open only after special conditions. Progress is carried over between runs, and the difficulty increases along with it. The music here is unsettling and the design is deliberately simple. Here it is worth mentioning about the bosses: each floor ends with an enemy with his own technique, and equipment is selected for him. Some levels open only after defeating additional bosses. Saving works on runs, so losing doesn't set you back too far. The gallery and statistics collect details: how many times the hero died and what weapons he came across more often. In addition to basements, the hero has short dreams, and clues are hidden in them. Each race lasts about twenty minutes. Some items are found only on later floors, so you still need to get to them. The passage is short, but repeated many times. Anyone who likes short runs through basements will find this add-on suitable.
