The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth is a re-release of the first part, which reassembled the familiar basements and significantly improved them. The engine was rewritten for stable operation, which is why races no longer depend on random drops in frame rate. The graphics are hand-drawn: pixel characters, creatures and rooms look the same style, and the effects of shots and deaths are made much more convincing than before. Due to this, each race is perceived as a dark, animated book with strange pictures. There are more rooms and enemies, and familiar bosses have new variations, so memorized patterns no longer guarantee victory. The mechanics remain the same and only benefit from this: the boy Isaac runs away from his own mother through the dungeon, collects objects and fights with the creatures that he himself created. Death sends you to the beginning, and the improvements found add up to the most unexpected combinations. Some items change the mechanics themselves: some turn tears into lasers, others give wings or an assistant dog. The expansions expanded the game with hundreds of items, new chapters, characters, and alternate routes to the ending. Communities have long been competing in the speed of passage and finding such combinations of finds that the authors could hardly have guessed. Unlocking characters and opening alternative chapters occurs gradually, so interest remains even after hundreds of races.
