Starbound

Starbound is a 2D side-scrolling RPG adventure with graphics inspired by the 8-bit classics. The player chooses a race and goes to explore space, where each planet looks different. The ship serves as a home and a means of transportation: it is improved, completed and remade to suit your needs. Co-op allows you to go through the journey with friends, and connections do not interfere with platforms and versions. Construction, mining and crafting are combined with combat and a storyline that leads to unraveling the threat to the entire galaxy. Planets are generated randomly, so finds like temples and abandoned bases come across in unexpected places. The dangers are also different: from local creatures to pirates. The world consists of many planets with biomes, camps and dungeons, and random finds like forgotten buildings add interest. Weapons and equipment are assembled from materials, and tools speed up the work. Colonists and residents can be invited to the base, and their requests provide side quests. Technologies are being studied gradually, and with them access to new devices opens up. A system of achievements and rewards motivates you to improve your ship, equip your base, and discover rare things. Modifications have long expanded the already rather large world. Co-op supports playing through the campaign together, which is convenient for long sessions. You can build a base anywhere: underground, on water or in a rocky cave. Resources found on distant planets are used for improvements, and rare materials open up new opportunities. This sandbox gives space to everyone who loves space adventures and construction for them.
