Spyro Reignited Trilogy

Spyro Reignited Trilogy is a re-release of three platformers about the purple dragon, in which he burns out enemies, collects crystals and frees captive dragons. The originals came out at the turn of the century, and here they are collected under one cover with completely redesigned graphics. The music, composed by Steward Copeland, is re-recorded and it shows: familiar tunes sound fresh but remain recognizable. Those who value the old sound can switch to classical accompaniment in the settings, which is rare for remasters and a nice gesture towards veterans. It's still a pleasure to play: the levels are built as small entertainment areas, where there is platforming, flying, and racing. The difficulty is mild, mistakes are hardly punished, and secrets are hidden so that both children and adults can find them. The controls have been redesigned for modern controllers, so tricks are performed more responsively than before. It’s also worth noting that the set contains all three parts with their additions and levels, which means dozens of hours of riding, flying and searching for secrets. In addition to regular levels, there are bonus tests and flight stages where you need to pass rings against the clock. Collective pleasure comes first here: finding all the crystals and freeing all the dragons is a separate task for which many return to the game years later. The result was a neat restoration: the spirit of the original was preserved and rough edges were removed, which would be difficult to return to today. For those who grew up with this series, it’s a pleasant encounter; for those who missed it, it's a good entry into a platforming classic.
