Description

Days of Oblivion - the world has experienced a catastrophe and is not going to return to its former life, and people can only count cartridges and crackers. The hero walks along broken roads, collects supplies and tries not to get involved in other people's squabbles. Each stop is a choice: bypass a dangerous place, spend the last of your medicine, or take a risk for a rare find. Experience comes not with levels, but with an understanding of the area and the habits of those who live nearby. At night it becomes darker and quieter, but that’s when you come across things that it’s better not to look for during the day. Records and conversations gradually piece together a picture of what happened. Supplies are divided into food, water, medicine and ammo, and each item must be replenished separately. Meetings with people end in either an exchange or a shootout, and this has to be decided on the spot. The map opens along the routes, and safe paths are remembered after a couple of outings. Night crossings provide access to places where it is better not to go during the day. Equipment wears out from the weather, so repairs are part of the daily routine. Cache caches hide ammo and medicine, not food. The weather deteriorates in the evening, and this changes plans. Some routes are best taken during the day. Experience is given for places found, not for kills. The records explain what happened to the former residents. Meetings with people are decided by weapons or exchanges, and this has to be decided quickly. Night forays are more dangerous, but finds in the dark are more valuable, so many take risks. For those who love stories about survival and searching for supplies, this option is suitable.
