Salt and Sacrifice

Salt and Sacrifice is a 2D action game with RPG elements, inspired by the Souls series. The player takes on the role of the Marked One, who hunts magicians, and this is not a one-time hunt, but a craft. The levels are interconnected, and the opponents require study: each has its own techniques and weaknesses. In addition to battles, there is crafting, equipment and hero development. In co-op, hunting is more fun, and invasions by other players add tension. Separately, it’s worth mentioning about hunting: you have to look for magicians and then fight them, and everyone has their own techniques. Crafting, equipment and hero development go hand in hand, and co-op makes hunting more fun. The levels are interconnected, so new areas open up gradually. The design is dark and the difficulty is high: mistakes are punished quickly. An error in assembling equipment is immediately noticeable, so preparation here is taken seriously, and not on a residual basis. The cooperative is designed for two, and then the hunt goes faster, and the finds are divided between the participants. Bosses require training and take more than one attempt, but victory feels deserved. Weapons and armor are upgraded through crafting, so finding materials is a constant activity and not a rare occurrence. Intrusions from other players happen unexpectedly, and you should be prepared for them in advance. The design is designed in dark colors, and the difficulty remains high: a few mistakes and you'll have to start over. For those who like 2D challenges with preparation, the game is suitable.
