Rugby Challenge 2: The Lions Tour Edition

Rugby Challenge 2: The Lions Tour Edition celebrates the Lions' tour, a rare event in world rugby. The game features teams from different countries, club and national tournaments, as well as career and team management modes. Such a scale was rare for rugby games: there were scrums, lineouts, and battles for possession in rucks. The management is trying to convey the physical side of the sport: without tackles and timely tackles it will not be possible to pass the defense, and there is always contact fighting on the field. Back-passing, aerial kicking and kicking all require an understanding of the logic of rugby before the results come. The game has a career mode with squad development, injuries and transfers, as well as an editor that allows you to create your own teams and equipment. Weather conditions and the state of the field affect the game, which is why tactics for the match have to be selected for specific conditions. It’s also worth noting that the game’s stadiums and atmosphere are detailed: stands, anthems and episode analysis convey the scale of international matches. The career mode allows you to lead a club through seasons, and the editor allows you to create your own team. For rugby fans, this is enough to spend more than one evening watching the tournament. Rugby fans love the Challenge series for its respect for detail and the availability of licenses to play for real clubs. For those familiar with the sport, this is a rare opportunity to host a full tournament rather than a single match.
