Pray Game

Pray Game - Arcee mysteriously finds herself on an unknown island, with no way home. All that remains is to inspect the locations, meet the locals and look for a way to get out. Arcee can do more than one magic: objects found in labyrinths and houses are used. Movement follows an isometric map in pixel graphics, and conversations are presented as scenes with anime art. In the dialogues, lines are chosen, and sometimes it depends on them whether the heroine will be helped or sent in a circle. The opponents you come across are not the only ones alive: some of the battles take place with creatures that are best avoided. The heroine’s strength is not directly tied to the level, so the skills and spells found are more important. Dialogues allow you to choose different behavior: somewhere the heroine is cunning, somewhere she goes ahead. The main mechanic is magic: spells are learned gradually, and Arcee's power grows with them. The “Black Box” works separately, allowing you to absorb mysterious energy scattered around the area. Some creatures on the island react to magic differently than to regular weapons, and require a separate approach. The research goes through locations with interactive objects: some of the finds open up new story branches, some are needed for tasks. The island has its own secrets, and the solution brings the heroine closer to home. The island has several endings, and for the full picture it is better to go through it twice. Some of the tasks are related to residents for whom Arcee is a stranger, and trust has to be earned. For those who love Japanese adventures with exploration, dialogue and the gradual mastery of magic.
