The DeLuca family

The DeLuca family is a visual story about a guy who got into trouble and is now forced to serve the local mafia group. You have to really work for the boss: orders can be dirty, and it’s not so easy to refuse. The plot is told through dialogues and scenes, and the player’s decisions determine how relationships with family members will develop and how far the hero is willing to go. Some of the materials are intended for an adult audience, and this is stated explicitly. In addition to the main line, there are acquaintances and side stories that reveal the inhabitants of the city. Classic format: text, illustrations, saving at key points. The duration is noticeable, so it is more convenient to go through the story in parts. It is also worth noting that family members have their own interests, and relationships with some are more difficult than with others. Some decisions affect the hero's reputation, and therefore what tasks he will be offered at all. Between chapters there are short episodes that create the atmosphere of the city. The material is intended for adults, and this is stated explicitly. In addition to the plot, there are also side activities: part-time work, dating, small assignments from friends in the area. In addition to the main line, there are additional scenes that open when the characters have a certain attitude towards the hero. The project is niche and made by a small team, but the structure is well thought out: there are chapters, there are forks, and there is a feeling that every action changes something, and does not just add a line.
