LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean: The Video Game - the pirate series in cubes retells four films in a row, but in its own way: familiar scenes are turned into short levels where the heroes silently swing sabers, collect barrels of bolts and destroy the scenery into parts. Studio Traveller's Tales released this arcade game in May 2011. From a third-person perspective with frequent switches to 2.5D, the player runs around decks and islands, solving simple puzzles and looking for hidden objects. Most of the puzzles are designed for two people, so it’s more fun to go through the same screen together: one pulls the lever, the other holds the door, and without a partner, the computer brings the necessary mechanisms to life. Port Royal serves as a transit point between missions. There they buy new heroes, spend the gold they find, tame a donkey, collect their own characters in the editor and review open videos. At the same time, on the pier you can get hold of bombs, weapons and other useful things. There is enough humor in what is happening: serious scenes are broken into jokes and falls, familiar characters look recognizable even without a single word. Some of the collectibles are hidden in such a way that you will either have to carefully inspect every corner or go through the level a second time. Cubic figures fall apart into pieces from any blow, and half of the local mysteries are built on this: bridges, levers and stairs are assembled from the remains. The characters can do different things - one shoots, the second climbs, the third sets fire - so the composition of the squad sometimes changes as the level progresses. For those players who want to go through pirate adventures together and without a tense pace.
