Kinect Sports: Season Two

Kinect Sports: Season Two is a continuation of the interactive sports series for the camera, where a controller is not needed at all. The game tracks your movements and adds six new sports, along with voice control. As before, the main thing here is not the accuracy of the simulation, but a fun time with family or friends. Each sport has separate modes: full matches, mini-games and accuracy tests. This variety allows you to switch quickly, and short attempts do not tire you out. Many tasks are designed for a group: the game evaluates the results and compares the participants with each other. Motion controls require space in front of the screen, and that's part of the design - there's a lot of running, jumping and real flailing involved. Because of this, the game worked both as a sport and as a reason to laugh, since awkward moves were counted with the same fairness as correct ones. It is also worth noting that most activities are designed for a short session: you can try one sport in a few minutes. Voice commands make menu navigation easier, which is convenient when playing with children. For home sports nights, this structure works best. The project doesn’t pretend to be a deep simulator, but rather it’s accessible: you can figure it out in a minute, and it’s convenient to get into it with a group. For those who still have the required sensor, this is a pleasant option for home sports.
