Grimgrad sends the player into the dark Middle Ages and gives him custody of a small village. The Slavic flavor can be felt in everything: in buildings, roads, and the life of the villagers. The player himself is involved in development - from building houses to primitive infrastructure. Resources have to be constantly counted, because they are spent both on construction and on feeding the inhabitants. The farm lives by cutting wood and tanning hides. You will get used to the controls quickly, but there are plenty of problems. The settlement faces disasters, diseases and the elements. Rats run through the streets, plague comes, famine occurs. Wild animals also make it difficult to live in peace, and bad weather interferes with the growing town. The well and the mill keep the village well-fed. In winter, wolves come right up to the yards. During the passage you can talk with the deities of the ancient Slavs. Development has three branches: Church, Elite and Ruling. Actions and choices help you cope with challenges and quests. Your own strategy is needed for the village to eventually turn into a prosperous medieval town. Frosts prevent carts from reaching the market. Fires in wooden neighborhoods are being extinguished by the whole world. Carpenters erect log houses in a couple of days. It’s a special pleasure to watch simple peasants settle in new lands. Their affairs go on as usual, and the player decides where to direct his efforts next. Each decision changes the appearance of the settlement. So from several courtyards a whole city with a Slavic character grows. The blacksmith takes iron for work. This game is suitable for anyone who likes to tinker with the village and its inhabitants.
