Billiard Deluxe is a collection that contains all the popular types of billiards, and this is its main advantage. In addition to eight, nine and ten, there are other formats for every taste, so the player himself decides which game is closer to him. Everything is done in full three-dimensional form, and the picture looks very decent for its age. The interface is deliberately minimalist: the screen shows the score, the trajectory of the planned shot and the power settings, and the rest of the space is occupied by the table. The balls are physically realistic - the cue ball rolls, spins and bounces off the sides as expected, so an experienced player can calculate in advance where the ball will stop and where the next shot will go. The controls are clear even to a beginner: the direction is set with the mouse, the force of the swing is controlled separately, and twisting shots, quickdraws and play from the boards can be set manually. The free camera allows you to look at the table from any angle, which helps you deal with awkward positions. The game is sorted out slowly: you can go around the table, evaluate the angles and only then strike, and after that see exactly where you made a mistake. It is this regularity that makes the game good for relaxation: it does not require reaction, but rewards attentiveness. In between competitions, it's nice to just play a couple of games for yourself - with neat graphics, calm music and without unnecessary fuss. A separate plus is the ability to play together on one computer: you can organize a full-fledged tournament with friends or play a couple of games during a break between activities. Billiard Deluxe is a calm, neat simulator that doesn’t try to surprise with anything, but does its job well.
