Both roles are realized, and switching between them changes the feel of each encounter. The physics here is noticeably worked out: the equipment has weight, projectiles fly along a trajectory, and a head-on collision rarely ends without consequences. Tanks differ not only in armor, but also in mobility, so tactics depend on the specific vehicle. It is possible to dismantle fortifications, shoot at vulnerable spots and cover the infantry. Missions vary in scale: from small skirmishes over a crossing to battles involving thousands of people, where dozens of units of equipment are on the field at the same time. Settings allow you to change the conditions and composition of the parties, which turns the game into a sandbox for your own scenarios. Separately, it is worth noting that campaigns are available for different sides, and this changes both the set of equipment and the logic of battles: in some places they win in numbers, in others in the quality of armor. There is also a sandbox where you can put together your own battle, deploying any forces and equipment, and then watch how things end. Experienced players often spend more time in this mode than in the main campaign. Visually the project is modest, but mechanically honest.
