The Sinking City

The Sinking City is an investigation game set in the twenties of the last century. The town of Oakmont is in the grip of supernatural forces, and the residents are going crazy. The main character is a private detective who has undertaken to unravel the case and understand the cause of madness. You are allowed to move around in the open world: on foot, by boat or in a diving suit. The weapons correspond to the era. The atmosphere is oppressive: water floods the streets, buildings stand knee-deep in water, and passersby hide their faces. Deduction is based on connections between clues in the workbook. An incorrect conclusion leads to the wrong direction. Side cases reveal details of the life of the city. Found records and newspapers complete the picture. Some places are inaccessible without equipment. The evidence is linked in a notebook, and the course of the case depends on the conclusions. Some areas are flooded; people are allowed there only in a suit. First aid kits and ammo are rare. Side cases reveal the fate of the townspeople. The atmosphere is oppressive from the first minutes. Weapons and first aid kits have to be saved. A diving suit reveals flooded neighborhoods. The boat helps you change areas faster. Some buildings are closed until the key is found. The hero suffers from visions and loses his mind. Evidence is allowed to be compared in different orders. Locals don't like strangers. Some buildings are flooded by the tide. The case leads to a cult hidden in the city. Visions interfere with calm investigation. Newspapers and diaries are lying around the apartments. The fish market serves as the center of the city. Sanity is restored with medications. Anyone who loves investigations will love the game.
