The Life and Suffering of Sir Brante

The Life and Suffering of Sir Brante is an adventure with role-playing elements, where almost everything is resolved through text. The hero grows from a child to a mature man, and every choice leaves a mark. The story goes in chapters, and characters, views and skills are formed from actions. In addition to the plot, there are conversations with family, mentors and neighbors, where it is important what to say. Some of the lines open only with a certain upbringing of the hero, so one playthrough will not show everything. The design is strict, the portraits and backgrounds are deliberately simple. The text is dense, and this is the main value of the game. Relatives and mentors have characters, and their attitude depends on the actions of the hero. The hero’s beliefs become stronger over time, and dissenting remarks become inaccessible. Some episodes end with consequences years later, so early decisions are revoked later. You have to read a lot, but the main attention is paid to the text. The hero's fate is made up of little things, and some of the consequences are visible only in the later chapters. Mentors and relatives have their own views, and you have to take them into account. The text is dense, so you should play slowly. Additions to the story reveal individual lines and add episodes. In addition to the plot, there are training and small tasks that affect the hero. There is a lot of reading, and this is the main part of the game. The design is strict. Extras added episodes. In addition to choice, there is the development of the hero and his abilities. The narrative is divided into chapters, between which the hero grows up. For those who love stories about choice and fate, the project is suitable.
