The Last of Us Part I

The Last of Us Part I is a third-person action-adventure game with survival horror elements. The world experienced a global catastrophe, and an unknown virus destroyed most of humanity. The journey goes through the ruins of cities, quarantine zones and forests. The weather and time of day change the situation. Joel loses his daughter in the first days of the disaster, and years later receives the task of taking the girl Ellie out of the quarantine zone. Their journey across the country turns into a relationship story of its own. Joel and Ellie's relationship changes along the way, and their conversations show it. Sometimes the hero chooses whether to help a stranger or pass by. Companions and opponents behave believably, which is noticeable in battles. Fights require calculation: there is little ammunition, so stealth and available items are more important. Enemies are divided into people and infected, and the latter have their own characteristics. Crafting allows you to collect first aid kits and cocktails from what you find. Weapons are limited, and ammo has to be saved. The Part I edition has redesigned the graphics and controls for modern systems. The add-on adds a separate episode about Ellie and her friend. Some scenes are presented as long transitions with observations. Music is rarely included, but it emphasizes key points. Transitions between regions take up entire chapters. The chapters are divided into seasons and months. For anyone who likes hard road stories, this pairing is perfect. The addition tells about the events before meeting Joel. The updated version has new graphics and more responsive controls.
