The Evil Within 2

The Evil Within 2 is a continuation of the horror game, which moved away from its previous isolation and became more like a third-person action movie. Detective Sebastian Castellanos once again finds himself inside a system that was created without his consent. This time we are talking about his daughter Lily, and the search leads through dreams and someone else's memory. The plot is presented more directly than in the first part: the characters and their roles are clear almost immediately. Further, the story is complicated by circumstances, and not by riddles for the sake of riddles. The locations have become more spacious, and you can walk around them more freely, looking for supplies. There are still few cartridges and first aid kits, so running headlong is not profitable. Stealth and traps help save energy, and weapon upgrades are unlocked as parts are found. Open areas allow you to choose the search order, but hints still lead you along the right path. Sometimes there are two ways to get into a house. Part of the equipment is unlocked by finding parts. The mood changes from quiet neighborhoods to loud fights. Improvements require found parts and money, which is given for a search. Some houses have hidden records from previous residents. Large opponents require ammo consumption, so it is better to prepare the battle in advance. Large opponents alternate in groups, and this sets the rhythm. Health is restored with first aid kits, which are always in short supply. Stealth allows you to go through some zones without fighting. Improvements for weapons are immediately noticeable in battle. The records reveal the hero's past. For those players who like dark stories with shootouts, the game is suitable.
