LIP! Lewd Idol Project Vol. 1 - Hot Springs and Beach Episodes

LIP! Lewd Idol Project Vol. 1 - Hot Springs and Beach Episodes is an adventure about a girl named Kairi who lives in Tokyo and dreams of becoming successful in the media field. Her goal is to become a famous idol in Akihabara, although this path does not seem to be the most decent one. The story is presented as a visual novel: text, illustrations and choices on which the development of events depends. The heroine goes through everyday and explicit scenes, and in between there are simple tasks and conversations. The material is addressed to adults, and this is stated explicitly. The structure is divided into episodes: in one the heroine has to sort out her affairs, in the other she has to go on a trip and meet new people. In addition to the text, there are also mini-games that help you switch between scenes. It’s also worth noting that between scenes there are small tasks and mini-games that break up the reading and add dynamics. The story can be completed in parts, saving at key points. Some of the materials are addressed only to adults, so it is better to evaluate the project within these frameworks, and not compare it with larger visual novels. Separately, it is worth noting that the main volume here is occupied by the text, and not the mechanics: the heroine communicates, chooses and gradually moves towards the goal that she has set for herself. There are quests and mini-games between scenes, but they complement the story rather than replace it. This is a project with a narrow audience, designed for fans of the genre, and it should be assessed by these standards. Technically it is modest, but it has a clear goal: to tell the story of the heroine and show her path to her stated dream.
