Life is Strange: Before the Storm

Life is Strange: Before the Storm - the action takes place before the events of the main story, and in the center is Chloe Price, a sixteen-year-old girl who lost her father and does not find a common language with her mother. There’s not enough money, I’m tired of school for a long time, and it doesn’t end well. There is no time rewind here: instead of the abilities of the past, heroin uses words. In the dialogues, the options “prick” and “press” appear, and the choice determines whether you will be able to get out of another trouble or whether the quarrel will break out with renewed vigor. The secondary characters are memorable: school friends, a truck driver and acquaintances from the old park. A meeting with Rachel Amber changes everything: the spectacular and confident girl takes Chloe by the arm and drags her into a series of adventures. Friendship walks the line between affection and falling in love, while both heroines deal with their own ghosts. The passage is presented as an interactive movie: scenes, conversations and small actions like leaving an inscription or throwing an object in rage. There are no major battles, but the details decide - and this is the most unpleasant thing, because in hindsight you understand where you should have done differently. The musical line is no less important than the dialogues: Chloe has her own tracks and entire scenes with conversations accompanied by a guitar. Each chapter ends with a movie ending, and there is a separate bonus episode about the heroines' past. For those who are ready for a story about two girls, where nothing important happens in simple conversations. Conversation scenes give you time to think, but the silence meter still ticks up, and procrastination is also considered a choice. Part of the story involves a local fair and a school play, and these episodes are as memorable as the dramatic ones. The game loves silence: pauses between lines are more important than loud words.
