Knights of Honor

Knights of Honor is a global strategy covering the Early, Middle and Late Middle Ages. Each time period has its own set of countries, so the player chooses from thirty available options. Over the course of the entire game, more than a hundred factions are revealed, and battles are fought in Europe, North Africa and the Middle East. Loyal warriors in armor are at your disposal. Knights master one of six professions. The commander creates military units and upgrades his skills on the battlefield. The missionary prevents riots arising from wars with neighbors, palace intrigues, increased taxes and changes in religion. The merchant is responsible for transactions with friendly kingdoms and mines gold. The Architect increases the productivity of the city and opens new buildings. The mayor increases the growth of food and inhabitants, and the spy becomes a courtier or decoy for the king of another state. The continents are divided into provinces. Areas captured by rebels automatically become states, so up to one hundred and fifty kingdoms can be placed on one map. Powers fight or maintain diplomatic relations: peace pacts and trade agreements are concluded, foreign territories are purchased, ultimatums are put forward. Each city has its own resources, which are generated randomly when you play a new game. Some rare items completely disappear from the map, and then the missing materials are bought from other countries. Resources determine the type of troops and buildings available.
