Hidden & Dangerous 2: Sabre Squadron

Hidden & Dangerous 2: Sabre Squadron is an addition to the second part of the series, dating back to 1999. Compared to the previous game, the project acquired role-playing game mechanics: large-scale maps appeared, the ability to choose the method of completing a mission, and an inventory window. The fighters wear their own equipment. The action still takes place during World War II. The player is the commander of an SAS special forces squad of four soldiers with different skills and characteristics. During the passage you will be able to visit different parts of the Earth, from Burma to Norway, and complete various tasks: rescuing prisoners of war, sabotage and destruction of enemy targets. Sabotage is carried out under the cover of darkness. In addition to the original, there is a cooperative mode. For its sake, the developers added eight new maps for multiplayer and nine additional locations for the single-player campaign. The authors were unable to reveal the specifics of the work of the SAS unit: most of the operations took place in the post-war period. In the second part, several serious historical errors were made related to dates and weapons used. The changes hardly affected the technical part. The enemy's artificial intelligence has been improved, and new units have been added to the list of weapons. The design of maps in the addon is weaker than in the original: there are often unfurnished rooms and painted doors that do not serve any role. For those who love sabotage and special forces, this game is suitable.
