FIFA Manager 13 is a continuation of the line, where football is shown from the side of the coach's office, and not the field. The entire club is at your disposal: the composition, tactics, training process, player contracts, academy, stadium expansion and finances. It’s easy to make a mistake, and the consequences last for seasons, so you have to think several steps ahead. The FIFA license gives access to more than forty thousand virtual football players and real prototypes of famous arenas. The improved 3D engine allows you to watch your own team's matches in full, and not just read the statistics lines after the whistle. There are more settings: players’ moods, agents’ requirements, long-term plans and a lot of information to help understand what is happening. A redesigned access panel has been added for quick control, and the lineup planner helps you find the optimal combination of players based on their form and condition. It’s especially gratifying to be able to analyze the situation in the club down to the smallest detail - right down to the dissatisfaction of an individual player who suddenly stopped being in the first team. You can spend a match day in different ways: watch the game in full, interfere with tactics during the match and make substitutions, or you can quickly scroll through the result and return to the club’s business. The coach's decisions are discussed in the press and among fans, so dissatisfaction builds up if the team fails. Youth and scouts require special attention: without investment in the academy, the squad begins to age in a few years. This part of the series turned out to be the most detailed of all, but it requires perseverance: it will take a long time to figure it out. But for those who like to build a team and lead it through the years, there is enough work here for dozens of seasons.
