Farmer's Life

Farmer's Life tells the story of Kashmir, a middle-aged bachelor from the Eastern European countryside who runs a small farm and often drinks bottles. The realism here doesn't end with character: the work is determined by the seasons, and wild animals roam the area. The farm requires constant attention: livestock, equipment, crops, repairs of buildings. In the spring you need to sow, in the summer you need to look after the field, in the fall you need to harvest, and in the winter you need to survive with what you have in stock. Equipment breaks down, animals get sick, and neighbors are not always happy about the new owner. In addition to everyday life, there are also village stories: meetings, errands, conversations. Kashmir is not a hero, and the game makes no attempt to sugarcoat him, but that is what makes him a living character. There are also simple activities like local things to do and trips. Separately, it is worth noting that the game has both transport and various equipment that need to be repaired and refueled. A breakdown in the middle of a field is expensive, so the condition of the machines has to be kept under control. In addition to work, Kashmir manages to communicate with locals, and from these conversations an understanding emerges of why he lives here. It is worth adding that the game also has weather conditions that affect work: rain, heat and frost change the routine and require preparation. This adds hassle, but also makes everyday life more varied. The graphics and animations are modest, but the atmosphere is convincing. Farmer's Life is not about achievements, but about what real work looks like on the ground, where every day requires specific actions.
