Depraved Awakening takes you to Free-City, where the player takes on the role of a private investigator. The last client is found dead, and although many talk about suicide, the hero has reasons to think otherwise. The investigation is conducted through conversations, searching for information and comparing details. The city is presented as a place where everyone is hiding something, and the truth comes out bit by bit. Decisions affect not only the course of the case, but also relationships with the characters, so rigidity does not always help. The format is a visual novel with saving and branching. The tone is dark, in the spirit of noir: night streets, dubious acquaintances, barely noticeable clues. The material is addressed to an adult audience, as stated directly. It is also worth noting that the city is presented as a separate character: it has districts, habits and its own rules, and as the investigation progresses, the hero gets to know them better and better.
