Empire of Sin

Empire of Sin is a strategy game about Chicago gangsters during Prohibition. The player takes over a gang, opens establishments and fights for neighborhoods with competitors. In addition to fighting, there is business management: underground bars, casinos, brothels and warehouses generate income, but require security and order. The streets are divided between factions, and relationships with them change due to deals and betrayals. The assistants require special attention: each has their own biography, habits and attitude towards the boss. Fights take place in turns, using cover and the skills of the fighters. Relations with neighbors change depending on how business is conducted and how often agreements are broken. The police are also watching what is happening, and you can negotiate or fight with them. The business generates income, but requires protection: competitors stage attacks on establishments. Evidence, conversations and negotiations with the police affect the situation in the neighborhoods. In addition to the plot, there are tasks for henchmen, for which they give money and rare items. Over time, more and more areas are under control, and this changes the course of the party. Deals with neighbors are sometimes more profitable than war, but betrayals happen often. Henchmen gain levels and skills, and their loyalty depends on the attention of the boss. Some establishments have to be recaptured because competitors are not asleep. Events happen randomly, so it’s impossible to prepare for everything. The order in which districts are captured is freely chosen, so failure in one district does not mean the end of the game. The project is suitable for anyone who loves crime stories with management.
