Darkwater

Darkwater puts players in command of a submarine trapped in ice on an alien planet. This is a cooperative horror game designed for one to four people. The boat is designed like a maze of compartments, and repairs are made as they go. The hole requires immediate action. The submarine moves slowly, so the route is planned in advance. Ice breaks the hull if you drive the boat carelessly. Survival requires navigating hostile environments, encountering enemy ships and underwater life forms, and searching for resources. Without supplies, the submarine will not be able to operate. Resources are extracted from underwater and from debris. Without fuel, the submarine loses speed. Fuel is consumed quickly, and it is not easy to find it under water. Emergency exits can only be opened from the inside. The crew distributes responsibilities: someone drives the boat, someone repairs the hull, and someone goes outside. Mistakes in dark water are costly. The weather underwater changes and visibility decreases. Sometimes it's safer to wait it out. Some creatures are attacked by light and noise, so silence can be useful. The depth map opens gradually, and the current carries the boat away. The atmosphere is built on the closeness of the compartments and the sounds from outside. The cooperative is designed for coordinated work of the crew. Screams in the dark add tension. Communication between compartments deteriorates, and you have to rely on screaming. Repairs require parts, and their supply is limited by trips outside. Anyone who enjoys co-op horror will find this depth to suit them. Updates add equipment and areas. The game was released in early access.
