Counter Strike: Source - Modern Warfare 3 is a modification to the veteran CS: Source, dressing up the usual first-person shooter in the guise of another legendary series. The canonical gameplay remained intact: players choose a side - special forces or terrorists - and converge on closed arena maps with corridors, shelters and designated areas for installing dynamite. The rules of death matches are the same: playing as a criminal gang, you need to plant the C4 explosive and wait for the explosion, not allowing your opponents to defuse the bomb in time; special forces are obliged to eliminate enemies, and if the charge has already been installed, to clear it. Russian and American soldiers take on the role of fighters in new uniforms and with new weapons. All modification changes are concentrated in the visual part: skins for equipment, armor and guns are borrowed from Call of Duty, some animations have been reworked, as well as many textures and environmental models in the arenas - the familiar maps look fresh, remaining true to the spirit of the original.
