Blitzkrieg Anthology

Blitzkrieg Anthology is a collection of strategies about the Second World War, which contains campaigns and individual battles. The player commands troops on different fronts, and mission conditions vary from defense to deep offensive. Reinforcements are limited, so conserving strength is more important than taking the next height quickly. Equipment, infantry and artillery work together, and reconnaissance helps avoid ambushes. Vehicles and infantry require different handling, and this is noticeable in battle. In addition to campaigns, there are separate maps where you can test non-standard tactics. The interface is detailed, but understandable to those familiar with the genre. In addition to the main campaigns, there are short scenarios where the task is solved in one operation. Between missions there are command reports explaining the situation at the front. The composition of troops differs in different campaigns, so the usual patterns have to be changed. Some scenarios are designed for defense, some for offense. The units' experience increases, and this is noticeable in the later stages of the campaign. The additions expanded the set of maps and added new battles. In addition to the main campaigns, there are separate missions where different types of troops are tested. Aviation is not always available, but it changes the situation noticeably. Each mission begins with a briefing where the objectives are explained. Some maps require defense, others require a quick attack. Some scenarios give access to rare equipment that should be protected until the end of the operation. Some missions begin at night, which changes visibility and environment. For those players who love solid military strategies, this collection is suitable.
