Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: Russia is an action-adventure game set in 1918. The country is going through a revolution. Several forces are hunting for the box at once. Cloaks and gadgets are purchased in the animus for points earned. Missions include escaping from prison and intercepting important documents. The box is connected with the fate of the royal family. The player controls Nikolai Orlov. He is tasked with obtaining a powerful artifact - a box that has fallen into the wrong hands. Shadows serve as the main cover, and the light of lanterns instantly reveals the hero. The story is connected to the events of other parts of the trilogy. You can bypass the security, or you can shoot one at a time, and the score at the end of the chapter depends on this. The chapters differ in their objectives and outcome assessments. The campaign is presented as a 2D stealth platformer. Cameras, spotlights and patrols set the rhythm, and mistakes lead to anxiety. Levels are divided into chapters with different tasks: from thefts to escapes. The spotlights move in a circle, and the shadow should always be underfoot. The patrols call each other, and this helps to understand their routes. The buildings have several paths to the upper floors. The hero hides in the shadows and climbs along the beams. Kills and detours provide different paths to the goal. As the plot progresses, Nikolai meets Princess Anastasia. The score for completing the game depends on stealth and finds. In between missions, scenes related to the fate of the princess are shown. Failure of the task does not cancel the story, but it changes the ending of the chapter.
