A Hat in Time

A Hat in Time is a 3D platformer about a girl in a hat who goes on an interplanetary journey to return home. On the way, her ship stops in the city of Mafia, and trouble begins. The hats are not for decoration: each one gives a special skill, from acceleration to explosions, and they change right in battle. Some of them are hidden in the most unexpected places. A local mafioso climbs on board and dismantles the ship piece by piece, and the parts - the same parts for the time machine - have to be reassembled. Because of this, the heroine’s path turns into a series of worlds with their own rules. Bosses require both reaction and the right choice of hat, and arenas throw up unexpected conditions. Between levels, the heroine returns to the ship and communicates with the crew. The levels differ in atmosphere: somewhere there is a gloomy estate with ghosts, somewhere there is a train, and somewhere there is a movie shooting at the top. You need to collect both hats with skills and collectibles, and for them you will unlock additional items. The controls are customizable, and mod support allows you to add your own levels and abilities. Some fans turned the game into a speed testing ground. Individual levels are made as a tribute to the platformers of yesteryear, and this is noticeable in the scope of the scenes. Co-op allows you to call a second player, and modifications and a level editor add new adventures. Humor and music make the project warm and memorable.
