Tribes of Midgard

Tribes of Midgard is an isometric survival action game designed for both solo and group play. The world of Scandinavian legends is captured by giants, and you have to fight them off together with your fellow tribesmen, protecting the village and its artifact. The cycle is built on days and nights. During the day, heroes extract resources, build fortifications and prepare, and with the onset of darkness, waves of opponents arrive. The further you go, the more serious the pressure, and preparation becomes more important than prowess: without a supply of arrows and fortifications you won’t hold out for long. There are forays into dungeons for rare materials, and meetings with special opponents where a well-coordinated squad is needed. The design is brightly drawn, and the structure of the race allows you to go through the world again with different conditions. Separately, it is worth noting that each class has its own strengths, and the combination of participants determines how the night will go: someone builds, someone hits from a distance, someone heals. In addition to village defense, there are forays for rare resources, where time is limited and opponents are noticeably more dangerous than usual. There are also bosses that cannot be taken by a random crowd. Progress between runs is partially saved, so failure does not set you back completely. The weather and time of day change the situation, and on higher difficulties the waves become denser. For those who like short runs with defense and a northern theme, the set is tight. The game is addictive in short sessions and does not require long investments. For those who like co-op runs with defense and a northern theme, the Tribes of Midgard is suitable.
