The player is asked to lead a rebellion against Sauron and gradually capture fortresses in different regions. The army gathers gradually: first there is one captain, then entire detachments, ready to storm fortresses and defend captured points. Recruitment and betrayal go hand in hand, as is customary in an orc war. The Nemesis system gives each orc leader a memory: enemies remember past skirmishes, return after defeats, and sometimes take higher places in the hierarchy. Because of this, the same fight unfolds in a new way. Fights rely on combos, counterattacks and finishing moves, and stealth allows you to remove part of the camp before the general noise. The ability to move makes walking along walls a common experience. Capturing fortresses turns into planning: it is important to take into account the vulnerabilities of the leaders, the balance of power and your own resources. Five regions require mastery of acrobatics and stealth movement, and combat is complemented by the recruitment of captains. The publication includes additions with new regions and plot branches, as well as sets of tasks for individual heroes.
