Description
Mechabellum is an auto battler in a sci-fi setting. The player becomes a commander and leads an army of mechs on the newly colonized planet Far-Away. Mechs are divided by role and weapons. Each type of mech has weaknesses. The army is being strengthened before the battle. The battle opens with the deployment of the army. The battlefield is limited in size.
Combat units are customized and improved, and placement on the field decides the outcome. Then the machines act on their own, and the commander is left to observe the battle. The seeding order determines who wins. Upgrades are selected before the battle. Upgrades change strength and speed. Improvements are bought for points and money. Each field has its own layout. The loser loses points and experience. Victory brings points and rating. Each mech can be rearmed between battles.
Opponents are selected based on strength, and each battle requires new tactics. The army is made up of different types of fighters. Opponents are selected by level. Armies converge on open areas. Each battle begins with the placement of mechs. The battles are short and bright. The armies converge wave after wave. Before the battle they decide how to strengthen the army. Improvements are divided into offensive and defensive. The rating grows from victories over the strong. Pilots gain experience with every outing.
The ability to change formation in time is valued above brute force. Improvements cost money and affect the outcome. Each fur has its own purpose. Each mech has its own role on the field. The battlefield is divided into sectors. Melee weapons are almost never used.
For those who like to think about placement, this game is suitable.
