Holy Whore Emily

Holy Whore Emily is an adult adventure in which the player takes control of a High Priestess named Emily. The heroine is associated with clergy and at the same time behaves completely outside the canon: she likes her own life, and she is not going to explain anything to anyone. Suddenly, disaster strikes the world, and Priestess must go on a journey to figure out what happened. The game is built on dialogue and exploration: conversations with characters lead to different scenes, and decisions determine who stays around and how the story plays out. Explicit episodes are built into the narrative and belong to separate branches, so that they can be either opened or skipped. In addition to the plot, there are elements of exploration: small locations, meetings and the gradual revelation of the heroine’s past. The presentation is ironic, sometimes deliberately absurd, which distinguishes the project from the gloomy representatives of the genre. It is also worth noting that the game has several endings and the development of relationships with the characters. The dialogues are written with irony, and the narrative itself is not afraid of absurdity. For fans of short stories, this is an unusual but memorable option. The game is intended for an adult audience and does not hide it. For those looking for a quirky, tongue-in-cheek novella with a fantasy backdrop, the Holy Whore Emily offers a couple of evenings of reading.
