Hatsumira -from the future undying-

Hatsumira -from the future undying- - Ichiro Mimori is a Zero fighter pilot who, at the end of the Pacific War, goes to ram an enemy ship. He survives, but instead of a base he finds himself in an unfamiliar desert, where there is neither his world nor familiar landmarks. Then the story begins about a fantasy continent where tribes and creatures from fairy tales live. Ichiro meets a princess who can transform into a dragon, and together with her he tries to figure out how to get back. The dragoness is wary of the guest, and trust has to be earned with help, not by talking. The road leads through the Dragon, Dog and Cat tribes, where each has its own customs and troubles. Along the way you come across mermaids, gnomes, undead and people from the Principality of Vistula, and almost no one refuses to give an assignment to a stranger. There are also references to Ichiro’s home world: fragments of memories of home pop up at the most inopportune moments. Helping the locals is not immediately rewarded, but it changes the attitude towards the stranger. The genre is a classic visual novel: dialogues, illustrations and choices that affect the relationship with your companion. Helping the locals advances the plot, and some tasks can be solved in different ways, which changes the attitude towards the hero. The world is presented through illustrations and descriptions, and not through a map with markers, so the hero chooses the route himself. Local conflicts are woven into the story: somewhere they divide up the spoils, somewhere they don’t divide up the land, and the hero is asked to take sides. Some scenes open only with certain decisions, and the ending depends on whether Ichiro managed to find his way back. For those who love stories about misfits and don’t mind slowly getting to know someone else’s world.
